Connecting to the PC's serial port

Virtually all communication between VEMS and the PC is done via the serial port. First we need to identify where the header must be soldered:

Solder a 3 pin header connection in place.

Next we'll need to make up a serial cable.
Header pin 1 to Female D9 pin 3
Header pin 2 to Female D9 pin 2
Header pin 3 to Female D9 pin 5
